The promotion issue in division ten is closing up as four teams now share the lead with 12 points apiece after the latest matches.

Fulford have gone to the top on games difference as the only unbeaten team after their latest win against Strensall 81-27, followed by Wheldrake, who beat Wistow 61-47 in a very close match with the biggest win being 8-4.

Appleton Roebuck are the fourth team in the tie at the top after their 64-44 win against Sutton on Derwent in another close match. Appleton's Tricia Davis and Robin Jenkins headed the scoring with 25 games.

There was no change in the order in division one after the top three teams all won with leaders York winning 67-41 at Civil Service.

Civil Service's Helen Leach and Andy Potter were their leading couple winning 18 games.

Poppleton, smarting from their loss last week, exacted revenge on Stillington, whom they beat 81-27 with Paul Turnbull making his season debut with wife Belinda in winning 30 games.

Martin Glassett enjoyed his first team game for Fulford with partner Julie Reilly, as they were top scorers with 25 games in their win at York seconds.

Fulford have a three-point cushion at the top of division two after their close 58-50 win at Rowntree Park, but York lost the opportunity to close the gap after they lost to Sherburn 65-43 with junior Karen Espiner and Jonathan Sharpe again proving a handful. They won 26 games.

Division three remains unchanged.

Dunnington seconds maintained their unbeaten run by defeating Appleton Roebuck 72-36, while Poppleton stay second despite losing a point in the draw at Riccall.

Riccall were behind after the second round but had a strong third round to earn a point.

The two unbeaten teams met in the top of the table clash in division four with leaders Bubwith coming out on top 77-31.

Jill Schogold and Shaun Pinchbeck topped the week's scorers winning 35 games in their match at Cawood.

York took the opportunity to move into the second promotion place with their 68-40 win against Strensall, led by top scorers Julie McNeill and Howard Pallister with 26 games.

Selby reversed the current form with a big 88-20 win against Cliffe to move up the table. Top scorers were Pam Campbell and Francis Milisejovic.

Wilberfoss returned to winning ways in division five against Appleton Roebuck thanks to top scorers Chris Oldfield and Mark Tebbutt, who won 29 games.

Riccall stay top of division six on games difference only after they lost a close match to Poppleton 58-50.

Wistow are still second after they beat Cawood in another close match 57-51 with Jill and Eric Fletcher being the only unbeaten couple on the night for Wistow.

Tadcaster have moved off the bottom of division seven with wins at Rufforth, 67-41, and at home against Wistow, 65-43. Sheila Stuart top scored in both games with partners Richard Middleton and Nick Stuart.

Sutton on Derwent have moved into second place in division eight after wins against Riccall, 58-50, and then Cawood, 81-27, with Cawood being unfortunate to have to concede a number of games due to injury.

Bubwith looked to have sealed the division nine title already after their 77-31 win at Wigginton.

They are followed by Wilberfoss, who have won their latest two matches against New Earswick and Cliffe.
