Barbican retained their unbeaten record in League 1 of the York Veterans' Bowls League by beating Osbaldwick 'A' 23-13.

Nestl 'A' beat Huntington WMC 19-17 to remain in second spot, while Forum 'A' had a narrow victory over Fulford Conserva-tives 'A' 22-21 and Wigginton 'A' beat Museum 13-11.

In League 2 Bert Keech 'B' head the table with a better shots difference than Form 'B' and Wigginton 'B', after their 21-14 win against Nestl 'B'.

Shots difference also separates the top three teams in League 3, Nestl 'C' leading the way after just beating clubmates Nestl 'D' 20-16. Dunnington 'C' are third after overwhelming Bert Keech 'C' 25-5.

Scarcroft beat Copmanthorpe 'A' 26-11 and lead League 4 by five points and are now clear favourites to retain their title. Ainsty 'A' and Bishopthorpe 'A' both had one-shot wins over Acomb 'A' and Poppleton 'A' respectively.

West Park 'B' head League 5 after beating nearest challengers Acomb 'B' 20-16 and RI Corinthians 16-15. Ainsty 'B' move into second spot with a comfortable 26-12 win over Acomb 'B'. Bishopthorpe 'B' just beat Poppleton 'B' 18-17.

Acomb 'C' beat Dringhouses 'C' 24-12 to stay at the top of League 6. They lead Holgate who beat Copmanthorpe 'C' 18-10.

RI Amateurs won at West Park 'C' 18-16.

Rink secretaries are reminded once again that entries for the Triples Competition and the Lord Mayor's Two Woods Singles Trophy must be received by June 30.
