I WOULD like to comment on Tony Blair's pay rise to £160,000 a year. Taking into account that he lives cheaply considering the perks that go with the job, rent, food, travel, holidays, entertaining, all free; plus the fact that he's altering No 11 to accommodate his youngest child at tax-payers' expense, he doesn't fare too badly.

However, I do agree with a lot of people. As Prime Minister his salary doesn't compare with the overpaid footballers and the so-called fat cats of industry and commerce.

By contrast, many people are underpaid without the perks.
