WHELDRAKE completed a brilliant IT Sports York and District Mixed Tennis League season by winning the Graham Wykes Handicap Trophy.
Five of Wheldrake's six teams have gained promotion in their best-ever season.
Wheldrake defeated Rowntree Park 57-51 (67-51 after the handicap) in the Wykes final at Dunnington.
Division two side Rowntree played off scratch against Wheldrake, from division five, on plus ten. Match-winners for Wheldrake were Helen Roe and Mark Bland who won their mixed rubber 11-1.
