Miss Pitz, who looked an unlucky loser at Ayr last week, turns out quickly again tomorrow and is poised to be handsomely compensated.

Ed Dunlop's filly heads to Pontefract for the Satellite Sports Services Classified Stakes and is napped to oblige in the hands of Robert Winston.

Miss Pitz attracted solid support from backers at Ayr, but failed to gain a clean run in the closing stages and had to settle for third place behind Pennys Pride and Palau Pinang.

That form was franked when the runner-up scored at Beverley yesterday and it now promises to be the turn of Miss Pitz to get in the winning groove.

The £10,000 S.I.S. Dalby Screw-Driver Rated Handicap is the feature race on the card and Munadil looks the one they all have to beat.

Marcus Tregoning's three-year-old has been lightly raced so far, but he has shown plenty of promise, not least when justifying favouritism at Epsom on his latest outing. Munadil tackles handicap company for the first time here and is expected to make a bold bid.

Mary Jane, who has been running with admirable consistency, can come out on top in the Racing Channel Available on Telewest Handicap.

Nigel Tinkler's mare confirmed her well-being when finishing a good fourth to Tick Tock at Ayr last week. David Allan, in the saddle then, takes the mount again tomorrow.

In the Satellite Sports Services' Fillies' Nursery, Ela d'Argent is worth another chance after his dismal showing at Doncaster recently.

Something was clearly amiss that day with Mark Johnston's two-year-old, who suddenly dropped right out of contention and was eased by her jockey before finishing tailed-off last.

Ela d'Argent had previously scored in fine style at Newcastle, looking every inch a filly with a bright future. While it is impossible to ignore her Doncaster run, she deserves the opportunity to get back on top here.

At Goodwood, Late Night Out can be relied upon to give a bold show in the day's feature event, the £37,000 Charlton Hunt Supreme Stakes.

In terms of consistency, William Jarvis's tough gelding scores top points. Winner of a Listed race here in July, he has run well to be placed in Group races on all three of his subsequent starts.

With Michael Tebbutt, who knows him so well, in the saddle, Late Night Out has strong claims.

Newmarket trainer George Margarson, who has a couple of his best horses heading to Ascot this weekend, can get into the winning mood courtesy of Definite Guest in the Plantation Handicap. Gary Carter takes the mount on the three-year-old, who is holding his form particularly well.
