A 27-year-old York man has appeared before the city's magistrates charged with attempted murder. Michael Colin South, of Albion Avenue, Beckfield Lane, Acomb, is accused of trying to kill David Dyson on Thursday in Strensall. Magistrates remanded him in custody and sent him to York Crown Court, where he will appear next week.
