Clifton Park will be no place for the faint-hearted tomorrow.

That's when local rivals York and Selby clash in what is expected to be a keenly-fought Yorkshire One derby.

"York is always a big game for us," said Selby team manager Richard Besley. "Of all the matches we play against sides from the locality, a game against York is the one we want to win the most."

York will be bidding to extend their winning sequence against a Selby side hunting their first point after two opening defeats.

Although York have been forced into making a number of changes through both injuries and unavailabilities, their confidence is high after beating Yarnbury at home in the NPI Cup, and West Park Bramhope away last week.

Former Colt Joe Brown and stalwart Russ Allerton are selected on the wings in place of the unavailable Leigh Deakin and Rob Liddle.

Stuart Davies, who was unavailable last week, takes the place of Damon Smith who has been unable to shake off the ankle injury he sustained in the pre-season friendly against Malton and Norton.

James Arkle, back in the team following a compulsory two weeks off as a result of being concussed in the opening league match of the season, is at scrum-half in place Nigel Durham who has a rib injury.

With the exception of Nick Hare, who plays at prop for Simon Humphries who is unavailable, the pack is unchanged from that which dominated West Park Bramhope's forwards last week.

Selby will restore former York player Mike Parsonage to his usual wing berth after giving him a go at flanker in last week's defeat against Beverley.

Parsonage scored the winning try when Selby triumphed in a club game at Clifton Park last season.

Wright Phillips and Paul Randall will both be contesting the wing forward position vacated by Parsonage.

Pocklington travel to Scarborough in Yorkshire One and welcome back scrum half Andy Kirby, who has missed the last two games with a calf injury.

Pock also hope to include former Hull FC Super League back Rob Nolan, who made a belated start to the season from the bench against Pontefract last Saturday.

No 8 Denzil Styche is unavailable so coach John Ainslie is considering a playing comeback and named himself in the squad as a possible back row alternative.

After last week's last-gasp win at Roundhegians, Malton and Norton travel to Wath showing just one enforced change to their Yorkshire Three squad.

Prop Andy Barker is unavailable but Carl Rushworth hopes to have shrugged off a shoulder injury to play in the front row. David Cooke replaces Dave Knaggs and will be playing his last game before spending a year in Australia.

Second row forward Rod Simms returns to the York RI squad for their Yorkshire Two game against Castleford at New Lane.

He missed last week's victory over Hemsworth, who had beaten Castleford on the opening day of the league season.
