KIRKDALE United maintained their grip on top spot in division one of the Beckett Football League with a 4-0 victory over Ampleforth.

Ian Prendergast, Andy Knowles, Adrian Voicu and Philip Charlton scored.

Rosedale are up in second place after their 5-2 victory against Slingsby.

Goals from John Tindal (2), Ken Weatherill, Richard Wilkinson and Chris James set up the win, while Carl Biggins and an own goal made the score a little more respectable for Slingsby.

A Paul Milner penalty gave Old Malton 3rds a 2-1 win against Aislaby United.

Milner had given them the lead, only for Aislaby to equalise through a deflected Kenny Temple shot.

The second half saw Malton 'keeper Danny Foxton save a Colin Frank penalty, before Milner slotted home from the spot.

Goals from Nicky Hodgson, Chris Hodgson, Philip Butler and Gary Murphy gave Kirkbymoorside Reserves a 4-3 win away to Black Swan, Pickering.

In division two, Heslerton Reserves picked up their first points of the season with a 3-1 victory at Old Red House.

House took the lead through Andrew Snowden, but then Jerry Field, David Hornby and Ashley Cook settled the match in Heslerton's favour.

In the first round of the Ryedale Hospital Cup the all-second division tie between Duncombe Park and Coxwold ended 5-4 to Park.

Daniel Jacques, Eddie Myers, Chris Everingham and Jason Sargent scored for Coxwold, but goals by Neil Ford, Paul Brackley (2), Liam Ogunsmakin and Will Smith gave Park the victory.

In the North Riding FA Challenge Cup, Pickering Royal Oak lost 3-1 to Middleham Town, Adam Hornby scoring Oak's only goal. Bagby and Balk beat Great Ayton 12-0.
