I TOTALLY agree with Martin Bull's letter about cycling on the pavement (September 26). It is high time efforts were made by the authorities to stop this and all the other offences cyclists are allowed to commit.
Two bad areas for this are Huntington Road, between North Lane and the shops, where cyclists seem to regard the pavement as a 'contra flow' cycle lane (in spite of there being a cycle lane on the road); and by the cinema in Blossom Street.
Might I suggest two things:
1. A pedestrians' protest march to take place on all the cycle lanes (if they can cycle on my pavement, I'll walk in their cycle lane).
2. On a slightly more serious note, offending cyclists should have their bike impounded so they can see what life is like for pedestrians.
