New Earswick All Blacks ARL under-14s crashed out of the Yorkshire Cup to trophy favourites West Hull.

The well-drilled Wests side, who have a number of internationals in their ranks, ran out 48-0 winners, beginning the rout with three tries in the first quarter.

All Blacks lost Tom Hodgson and Ross Divorty through injury and the side had to make several changes but they conceded no more tries before the break.

Forwards Danny Pfluger, Daryl Fogg and Jack Stearman, as well as backs James Goodwin and man of the match Jack Goodacre, worked hard in the second half but All Blacks could not break through.

Wests half-backs and second rows showed their class with a faultless display as the hosts ran in further tries.

New Earswick All Blacks under-12s produced their best display of the season to beat Gaw- thorpe 28-20 and proceed to the second round of the Yorkshire Cup.

Dale Hunt was the hero with four tries as they avenged the previous week's 26-4 defeat, with Dan Atkinson, Dan Lofthouse, Joe Davis and Jack Wren all similarly outstanding.

Jamie Norris crashed over through three tackles to give them a great start, Josh Cockerill converting, and soon after Norris fed Hunt to score in the corner.

Eight minutes before half-time Lee Rollinson side-stepped past three players to go under the posts, Cockerill converting, and although Gawthorpe went over in the corner, Hunt notched his second try to make it 20-4 at the break.

A fine comeback saw Gawthorpe score three tries in ten minutes to level but the spirited All Blacks fought back with Rollinson setting up Hunt for his hat-trick try and that man Hunt made it safe late on after good work by Elliot Bridges.

All Blacks under-10s lost 24-6 to a much-fancied Castleford Lock Lane outfit.

All Blacks looked the better side in the first half and were unlucky not to score more than Josh Bellwood's superb individual try, converted by Steven Wilson. Liam Wright was their man of the match.

New Earswick All Blacks under-8s and cross-city visitors York Acorn under-8s played out an entertaining contest.

Acorn's joint men of the match were Ryan Gallacher, who scored six tries, and Ben Cowton, who scored five, while their top tackler was Danny Atkins with Tim Stubbs their most improved player.

All Blacks' tries were scored by man of the match Isaac Fotu (5), David Bellwood and Adam Speck. Gievnu Walton was their top tackler and Speck the most improved player.

Heworth under-13 produced their worst display for some time when losing 30-4 at home to Churwell.

The team showed none of the spirit of recent weeks as they failed to put any pressure on the visitors and allowed them time and space to play.

The normally assured handling also deserted them as the ball was lost with amazing regularity.

Only Callum Sullivan emerged with any credit thanks to a committed defensive show, and deserved to score his side's only try.

York Acorn under-13s' impressive start to the season continued with a 16-14 home win over Redhill.

Acorn scored the first try of the game on 24 minutes from man of the match hooker Karl Hutton, scrum-half Joe Budd goaling. Then full-back Matthew Gray notched a try, Lee Botterill converting.

The second half proved scrappy, but the Acorn defence, again well led by Mark Glover with support from Oliver Pitt, Scott Jackson and Matthew Gray, was largely solid and Acorn had enough gas in the tank thanks to a fine try by winger Lee Spain created by the impressive Botterill.
