IT WAS business as usual this morning at York station as the first wave of Arriva cuts got under way.
Passengers reported few delays, despite the train network cutting 800 services in Yorkshire.
When the Evening Press visited the station, Arriva trains were running as normal. One passenger travelling to Manchester airport, Jamie Graham, 20, of Huddersfield, said: "It has been OK. Usually I know that the train leaves at 20 past the hour, and that's the way it was today. I haven't really noticed any difference. There has been the odd delay but nothing worth shouting about."
