SINCE you publicised my call for soon-to-be-redundant foreign coins in aid of St Leonard's Hospice we have had thousands of pesetas, marks, francs, lira, etc donated to us.
We thank readers for their great generosity and we hope they will continue to unload their spare foreign currency on us - don't forget that as the Euro arrives at the beginning of 2002 the old ones will be useless to you.
Coins can be left at reception at the Hospice on Tadcaster Road (between 9am and 5pm only), or at St Leonard's Hospice Shops in Acomb, Haxby, Pocklington and Tang Hall, or at the fundraising centre in Acomb.
