THE decline of the INL Club in York is another sign of the times. Its story - a cash crisis due to lack of support - is one familiar to many Working Men's Clubs here and elsewhere.
A trip to the club was once the highlight of the week. But younger people have all manner of other leisure opportunities, and they have lost the habit.
We hope the community rallies behind the INL's "use it or lose it" plea. The club boasts excellent facilities and entertainment. It would be a real shame if this were lost for ever.
