HOME teams dominated the games in Reserve A of the Leeper Hare York and District Football League.

Of the five matches all but one resulted in home wins. The exception was at Dunnington where New Earswick recorded their second win of the season with a fine defensive display.

The home side enjoyed the majority of the pressure but could not find a way through the well drilled Earswick defence.

New Earswick's 'Tex' Williamson broke away to score the only goal of the game mid-way through the first half.

Dringhouses moved clear at the top after an easy win at home to Bishopthorpe with goals from Steve Cross (3), Wayne Carter (2) Alan Smith and Darren Duffill.

Darren Kelly hit two first-half goals for second-placed Kartiers at home to Huntington. Dave Robinson and Simon Winstanley scored twice more after the break to complate a 4-0 victory.

South Bank continued their recent good form with a 4-2 win at home to Wigginton Grasshoppers. The visitors took a first minute lead but Dave Kettlewell (2) and John Dale (2) put South Bank in command.

St Johns College won 2-0 at home to Haxby. After a blank first half Andy Mason and Matt Evans hit goals for the students in the last ten minutes to clinch the points.

Moor Lane could only muster ten men for their Reserve B game at home to Haxby & Wigginton but it did not prevent them from taking the points with a 3-1 victory.

An own goal set them on their way with Paul Maching levelling matters for the visitors before the break. Second half goals from James Preston and Danny Yates sealed the win for Moor Lane.

Rufforth's Paul Hemingway scored twice in the first ten minutes at Poppleton but he ended up on the losing side.

Goals from Daniel Barrett (2), Steve Strachan (2) and veteran Ian Bainbridge inflicted Rufforth's first defeat of the season and prevented them from taking over at the top.

Dave Burley struck after only four minutes for Malton Bacon Factory at Nestle Rowntree and Pete Sowyer made it 2-0 at half-time. John Hubery, Chris Bell and Steve Mills netted in the second half for Factory with Rob Blake replying in vain for 'Trees.

Callum McKay hit all three goals in the first-half of Copmanthorpe's 3-0 home win over Fulford in Reserve C.

Stamford Bridge were five goals up through Martin Smith (2) and Ben Andrews (2) before White Horse rallied with two second-half goals from John Waldegrave and Richard Noble.

Four second-half goals from Andy Sykes, Tudor Carrington, Paul Crosby and Rob Lancaster gave LNER Builders a 4-0 win at Wilberfoss.

Pete Hanlon, Rob Cockerill (2), Darren Walker and Dave Atkinson found the net as Heslington triumphed 5-2 at home to Heworth with Paul Crangle getting Heworth's goals.
