A PATIENT from Stockton Hall Hospital, York, was apprehended by police after he wandered as far as the Highwayman Caf on the A64.
Police were alerted to the escape just after 4.30pm on Thursday by a member of the public who had seen the man walking on the A64 and suspected he had been drinking. Officers found the patient half an hour later and found he was "in drink" and he was returned to the hospital.
