IN reply to your article, (Fighting litter louts, December 8) prosecuting for dropping litter and illegal dumping has been going on for some time, but has never been enforced to the full extent.
Cleaning standards have not dropped, but illegal dumping and litter has increased.
To the scrutiny board I say this: strengthen and enforce the legal system and fine, name and shame, the offenders and print their names on the front page of the Evening Press, in large type.
