Three weeks after her 15th birthday York's Helen Holloway has qualified to fence for the England Under 16 epee squad.
This is the second year that Helen, a pupil at The Mount School, York has represented England, for whom she will compete against Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the quad competition next March.
Helen has just returned from featuring for Yorkshire in the Inter-County Cadet championships in Somerset.
Now in the sights of the talented teenager, who trains with her coach Brian Matlass and at the Harrogate Fencing Club, is to maintain her form and be considered for the World Championships to be held in Turkey later next year.
