CRASH Bandicoot's return was a bit of a shock to me, not only because of its appearance on PlayStation 2, but also that its original developer, Naughty Dog, has handed over the rights to Universal Interactive.

Crash's latest appearance, graphics-wise, does not fulfill PlayStation 2's full capability. The characters seemed real, though, and the game itself flowed more fluently within levels. However, when loading started, the time did drag on.

All Crash's renowned moves have returned, including the spin attack, the body slam and the slide skid. Crash introduces more moves, such as the double jump and the ability to glide after defeating the game's bosses. Crash can pilot a jeep, a submarine, a bee-like flying contraption and more.

The special vehicle stages provide the best experiences the game has to offer.

It may be similar to former Bandicoot games, but I would be pleased to find this Crash in my Christmas stocking.
