Antonia is a fan of the BBC soap so was thrilled to win the weighty ear jewellery. Let's hope the ill-fated earrings bring better luck to Antonia than to poor Pat, whose life fell apart after Roy finally plucked up the courage to say that he hated the huge monstrosities.
Sensibly, Antonia keeps the earrings on her mantelpiece rather than in her ears. And her prize could have been worse. Just image if she had won Phil Mitchell's frown.
