A MAN was recovering today after his face was apparently slashed in an unprovoked attack in a York street.
Police said the victim had been walking in Moorcroft Road, Woodthorpe, at about 10pm last night, when a man confronted him and attacked him with a knife.
He suffered cuts to the left side of his face. Police said his injuries were not serious, but officers had advised him to see a doctor.
His attacker was described as white with a tanned complexion, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins tall, with black curly hair. He was wearing a white top.
