HEAT 2 of the first round of the Fibbers/Evening Press Battle of the Bands 2002 has ended in a dead heat, so both Manydown and Fadge will progress to Round Two.
In last night's hard-fought contest at Fibbers, in Stonebow, York, Manydown won the audience vote, but Fadge gained the secret panel vote (worth 20 per cent) to bring the scores level. The Back Wheels and Raith also took part.
Next Wednesday, in Heat 3, Allia will take on The Asylum Seekers, Busride and Griffin's Ridge at 8pm. Doors will open at 7.30pm and admission will cost £3.
