POLICE have appealed to motorists for information after a group of youths were seen firing air rifles from a busy railway bridge, near Selby.
A passing lorry driver reported seeing a number of youths firing at vehicles from a railway bridge over the Sherburn-in-Elmet bypass.
When police arrived at the bridge, the youngsters had run away.
A police spokesman said the incident, at about 7pm yesterday, was being taken extremely seriously.
