...PLEASE keep the weekday paper a proper - broadsheet - newspaper.

The Evening Press is a quality newspaper which does a great job of bringing us local and national/international news in a reliable and balanced way.

During the week please keep it looking like other quality newspapers. Don't change it to look like the Daily Mail or worse!

From a practical point of view, the large size means you can get so much more on a page.

You can fit a number of pictures of a special event or particular subject, plus a detailed account of it, on broadsheet size pages and the same with spreads such as Yesterday Once More in pictures.

They are so much better for reading and for cutting out and keeping, than from tabloid size pages.

It is also easier to scan large sheets for a particular item than to turn lots of little pages.

...I AM a broadsheet man, primarily because I like to read a good, well-developed story and in my experience tabloids tend to cut down good pieces and trivialise important matters.

The only advantage a tabloid has is that it is easier to fold in a train or bus.

I then ask myself how many Evening Presses are read in such circumstances. I sugguest not many.

PLEASE keep the Evening Press in its present format from Monday to Friday - we do not like the Saturday edition the size it is. Being so small, it doesn't seem like a 'proper' paper.

...I DO not like the tabloid size. I like the broadsheet as I have more use for it after I have read it.

I put up with it for one night as a tabloid but hope you do not change it for the the rest of the week.
