LESLEY Jefferis is just plain wrong ('Bus service gloom', Letters, February 8). He/she seems blind to the blue double-deckers which run through Copmanthorpe on a regular basis.
You see, we have an approximately half-hourly weekday service courtesy of those nice people at Yorkshire Coastliner (they're the ones with courteous staff and a timetable which isn't a work of high fiction) and you can get the bus back from York as late as 11.45pm if you wish. Did I also mention that they run a Sunday service, too?
