Pegs on Cyprio Lake dominated the 40 peg sell-out angling match at Carpvale as the bigger fish dominated for a second week running.

Mark Eadley (Leeds) led from peg 7, where he fished feeder and corn tight to the snags for 15 carp and 48lb 4oz.

Fishing pole and corn tight over and down the track he bagged a mixture of carp and tench for his winning 27lb 6oz.

At the other end of the bay, at peg 16, Tony Hewson (Armley Angling) fished up in the water with double caster and lured some wary ide to nearly 2lb with the odd bonus carp to 4lb.

His 26lb 8oz put him clear of Bernard Guy (East End Park), who had top weight on Goldrush with 23lb of carp to pole and meat from peg 40.

Fifteen-year-old Wayne Nolan (Leeds Juniors) picked up the biggest pay day of his short career on Sunday when he battered the 30-strong field from golden peg 7.

Fishing floating pole with corn at 18 metres he hauled carp from 1 to 5lbs for his 59lb 2oz and a bumper £400 prize.
