THE York Primary Girls' Youth Games representative football squad has been selected after trials.

York squad: Abigail Shoobridge (Ralph Butterfield), Amy Ibbotson (St George's), Fay Waudby (Headlands), Frances Smith (Copmanthorpe), Hannah Bush (Robert Wilkinson), Holly Weston (Westfield), Katie Roberts (Wigginton), Megan Dunn (Poppleton Road), Naomi Glew (Yearsley Grove), Sarah Lupton (Bishopthorpe), Laura Williams (Oaken Grove), Natasha Boys (Lakeside).

Maddy Walters (Carr Junior) and Katie Iveson (Appleton Roebuck) have been invited to training on Friday to be considered for selection.

At the annual meeting of the York and District Schools FA at All Saints School the following officers and officials were elected for 2002-2003: Chairman, Chris Jones; secretary, Matt Halifax; Primary secretary, Adam Cooper; press and local secretary, Peter Wilmott; District fixtures secretary, R Stewart; treasurer, A Teasdale; auditor, Phil Hulse.

Team Managers: Under-11, Ian Hutchinson; Under-12, Chris Jones; Under-13, Rob Salk; Under-14, Craig Pounder; Under-15, Tony Gavin; Under-19, Tony Teasdale; NYSFA Rep, Tony Teasdale.

The Primary Schools' Tournament for the six Primary League winners will be held at Lakeside School on Saturday, April 27 (9.30am).

A meeting of the Primary Schools FA members will be held at 4.15pm at Lakeside School on Thursday, May 9.

Each team will play each of the other five, giving each school five matches. This will determine the overall Primary League winners. Results will be in next week's Press.

The six schools competing will be Primary A, Clifton Without; Primary B, Dringhouses; Primary C, English Martyrs; Primary D, Appleton Roebuck; Primary E, Woodthorpe; Primary F, St Oswald's (Fulford).
