Osbaldwick are to return to the premier division after winning the York Leeper Hare League division one promotion decider with South Bank 4-3, writes Colin Atkinson.

They were three-up through Mark Triffitt, Danny Leach and James Luck up before South Bank began a fight back with a Graham Bootland penalty.

Leach then hit his second before goals from Martin Cowl, and John Alcock almost snatched a point for South Bank.

Champions Malton Bacon Factory came unstuck 2-1 in their last match at home to St John's College.

The students scored after ten minutes through Rob Ellis, and although Nick Cass equalised midway through the second half but College goalkeeper, Tom Day hit the winner from the penalty spot with five minutes remaining.

Civil Service ended their season in winning form with a 2-0 result at home to Hammerton United. Rob Evans, after 20 minutes, and Alex Ingram midway through the second half, were their marksmen.

The division two championship is still undecided. T&L Selby are closing on Copmanthorpe as they win their games in hand.

They won 3-1 at Stamford Bridge and 11-1 at home to Heworth in mid-week and followed this up with a 7-2 home win over Heslington in a rehearsal for the Junior League Cup final.

Brendan Lanagahan (3), Darren Fawcett (2), Mike Barnitt and Chris Harkin were their marksmen against Heslington.

If T&L win their remaining two league games they will the title.

Copmanthorpe were fortunate to salvage a point in mid-week when Steve Illing equalised in the 85th-minute at Stillington. Shaun Inman had put the home side ahead, and they now have one game remaining, at home to Hamilton Panthers.

Norton are relegated after losing 3-0 at home to Fulford in mid-week. Glen Featherstone headed the first and Steve Dunn netted twice in the second half.

Fulford will have to settle for fourth place after loosing 3-2 at Stillington on Saturday.

In a close game Steve Johnson and John Anderson put Stillington into the lead but Fulford fought back with goals either side of half-time from Lee McCardle and Glen Featherstone but Darryl Elseworth grabbed the winner for Stillington.

Haxby & Wigginton made sure of third place with a 5-0 win over White Horse.

Richard Iggulden scored twice in the first half and substitute Richard Hunt scored a second-half hat-trick.

After a run of poor form which gave them some relegation worries, Barmby Moor bounced back with three straight wins - in mid-week Gavin Kemp and Phil Goddard (2) scored the goals in a 3-2 win over Hamilton Panthers and on Saturday they played two games against Heworth and won the first 2-0 with goals from Nick Palfreman and Phil Goddard and the second 3-1 with goals from Goddard (2) and Jim Clark. Mark Hughes was the Heworth marksman.
