MANY hands make light work and the annual York Rally Cycle Show is no exception.

This three-day event, which attracts thousands of cyclists every year, relies completely on volunteers to do all the key jobs and ensure everything runs smoothly. We are looking for at least 100 people who can devote just a few hours during the weekend of June 21-23 to make our events and exhibitions go according to plan.

We need help with programme selling, show stewarding, staffing the information tent, managing the car park, litter picking, setting up and dismantling the camp and manning the tea tent. If you can help please contact Melita Luxton, secretary, on 0870 873 0066 or write to 14 Methley Terrace, Leeds, LS7 3NL.

...COMMUNITY Regeneration York, with our partners, is looking at opportunities for developing social enterprises in York.

Social enterprises are businesses that trade in the market and also meet a social need.

If Brian McCusker would like to develop his idea for the safe and secure parking of bikes in the city (Letters, April 25), we would be happy to help.

We would be interested to hear about any other ideas local people may have for developing social enterprises

Chair, Community Regeneration York,

Priory Street,

York.
