Alan Stimpson, of Harrogate, won the first event in the Harrogate and District Evening Running League, held at Ilkley. His time was 24min 31 sec.
The first Thirsk and Sowerby runner to finish was Mervin Burn in 18th place. Walter Busuttil was 19th, Stephan Tomasewski 45th, Richard Soper 93rd, Hywell Smith 101st, Ernie Huck 105th and Richard Stratton 117th.
The first Thirsk and Sowerby lady to finish was Jill Soper in 128th place., Stephen Harrison was 155th, Maureen Gibbs 157th, Pat Kirby 159th, Cath Lumb was 189th, Karen Hudson 191st, Kaye Mechie 201st. Louise Savory, in her first run in club colours, was 202nd. There were 220 finishers.
The next League fixture is at Harrogate on Tuesday, May 7.
