THE RJF Homes Beckett League Marisa Sports Trophy final tomorrow night will be an all second division affair for the first time.

Pickering Royal Oak play Amotherby and Swinton at the BSA sports complex, Swinton, on Friday, kick-off 6.30pm. The match has been switched to Swinton from the Old Malton venue originally scheduled.

Pickering Royal Oak reached the final, the first cup final they will have played in, when they won their semi-final 5-3 away to Old Malton 3rds, whose manager Jim Dawson played in goal for the first time in his life.

Mike Pedder and David Jenkinson put Royal Oak 2-0 ahead within 15 minutes.

Stuart Clarkson pulled one back for Old Malton and then Damon Cox restored Royal Oak's two goal advantage. John Dunning netted for Old Malton just before the interval.

An own goal 10 minutes into the second half put Royal Oak 5-2 ahead. Within a minute Steve Baxten pulled one back for Old Malton. Ten minutes from the end Cox got his second goal.

In the other semi-final Amotherby and Swinton beat Union Rovers 3-2. Neil Horsley gave Amotherby the lead after 27 minutes with a header from six yards. On the stroke of half-time Matty Biggins made it 2-0 with a goal from 18 yards out.

Brian Shepherd was on target for Rovers in the 62nd minute. Six minutes later Biggins put Amotherby 3-1 ahead. Andy Piercy hit back for Rovers four minutes from the end.

Rosedale, the cup holders, beat Duncombe Park 4-3 on penalties in the Ryedale Hospital Cup final at Kirkbymoorside. The score was 1-1 at the end of extra time.

Ben Adamson put Rosedale ahead after 84 minutes with a shot from six yards out. Substitute Brian Connor equalised in the 90th minute to take the game into extra time.

Mathew Tyreman scored the first penalty for Rosedale and then Liam Ogunshakin equalised. Duncombe goalkeeper Andy Caine saved Kenny Weatherill's spot-kick and Brian Connor them 2-1 ahead. Adam Burkinshaw equalised and then Rosedale goalkeeper Mark Milestone saved Craig Newton's kick.

Ben Adamson scored for Rosedale and Steve Coxon for Park. John Tindale hit Rosedale's fifth spot-kick over the bar right into the Hospital Cup standing on the presentation table.

Park's Neil Ford shot over the bar, Paul Brown put Rosedale 4-3 ahead and then Milestone saved Nigel Wright's kick to win Rosedale the cup.

The cup and trophies plus the league runners-up trophies to Rosedale (division one) and Duncombe Park (division two) were presented by Darren Rivis, the Kirkbymoorside first team manager.

Kirkdale United beat Aislaby United 6-1 in the Gordon Harrison Memorial Trophy final at Pickering, the second time Kirkdale have won the trophy.

A Mike Smith own goal gave Kirkdale the lead after 15 minutes. Martin Charles made it 2-0 after 23 minutes and then Robin Cook scored for Aislaby. Charlton made it 3-1 after 31 minutes. In the second half Ian Prendergast netted twice and Chris Simpson got one goal.

The cup and trophies were presented by Mrs Janice Wilson, cousin of the late Gordon Harrison.

Kirkdale United play Black Swan Pickering in the Victory Cup final at Kirkbymoorside on Monday (6.15pm). The league championship trophy will be presented to Kirkbymoorside Reserve after the game.
