BOSSES at one of North Yorkshire's biggest theme parks could be told to remove one of the most striking features of their newest ride.
The 55-metre high Cliff Hanger, which was opened at Flamingo Land last month, has generated complaints from residents and councillors.
The park won planning permission to build the ride on condition it used a lattice-style structure.
But it opted for a solid red and white lighthouse design which residents and councillors claim is visually obtrusive.
Park bosses claim the current design would be no more striking than a lattice feature and are urging Ryedale planning councillors meeting next Tuesday to allow the ride to remain or reach a compromiseh.
But planning officers are recommending refusal.
