CONGRATULATIONS to all involved in the temporary closure of Redhillfield Lane, Bilbrough (April 26). But this did not stop the idiots on Friday evening.

While sitting sat in the traffic, I witnessed cars pulling on to the slip road, east bound, to then reverse along the slip road on to the cycle track and drive on into the village. This was causing yet another hazardous situation for the other road users on the A64. Road improvements have to be done.

I would like to ask these idiots: would you like cars, wagons, buses speeding past your home while your children are out playing?

...I SEE that the whinging Nimbys from Bilbrough are at it again, thinking they have the right to prevent outsiders driving over their own personal roads. And there was silly me thinking it was all part of the national road system where anyone could use it: apparently not.

Then we look at the twaddle they claim for blocking the Queen's highway: their children can't get to a community centre. Is that because the children haven't been taught to cross a road? Or is it that the children only know how to walk to their father's 4x4 or their mother's BMW?

Come on people from planet Bilbrough, get real!
