FORMER pupils of Canon Lee School in York who gathered for a reunion at the Flying Legends pub in Clifton Moor came from all over the country.
The party was organised for pupils who were at the school between 1977 and 1982 and was organised by Adele Hartley (nee Dykes) and Paula Tilsley (nee Benson).
Former pupils included Chris Bagshaw, who travelled up from London, where he is in the Metropolitan Police CID. He stayed overnight with his parents and is getting married later this year.
Paul Sanderson came up from Aldershot where he is a warrant officer at the Army Physical Training Unit, specialising in physiotherapy.
Karen Bell works in the film industry in London and Jonathon Raine is an RAF corporal at Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, and was involved in the Gulf War.
Many others still live locally including Deborah Singleton, who owns the beauty salon Absolutely Fabulous in Rawcliffe and Stephen Boyes who is a paramedic.
Larry Gibson, who had been the boys' PE teacher was also a guest and Robin Cooper, former Head of Science, showed slides from their time at the school.
Ian Paylor, manager of the Flying Legends, another former pupil of the school, helped the occasion to go with a swing.
