INDIA'S Supreme Court will hold an initial hearing on Monday into the appeal by jailed deaf charity worker Ian Stillman.
Ian, whose parents live in Tadcaster Road, York, and who had a leg amputated after a road accident, is serving a ten-year prison sentence for possession of cannabis, which he has always denied.
His sister, Elspeth Dugdale, said today: "Our understanding is that this hearing is vital as it will decide if the court will allow the appeal to be heard or not."
