THE Race For Life gets bigger and better every year. More than 4,000 women completed the York event, making it the most successful so far.
Organisers expect the total raised for Cancer Research UK to greatly exceed last year's £130,000. That is a fantastic achievement.
This is about more than money, of course. Deeply personal reasons inspire every participant, but it is the shared experience that makes it so special. Tears of remembrance mingled with tears of joy yesterday, confirming that the Race For Life is also a celebration of life.
