DOGS trained through the night in a money-spinning non-stop 24-hour marathon.
Pet therapist Dave Olley worked through the night teaching dogs at the Dog Friendly Training and Therapy Centre, at Elvington, in an effort to raise cash for charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
The centre hopes to have made enough to sponsor its own dog.
Jenny Olley, who also works at the centre, said: "We started at 10am on Friday and worked through until 10am the next day, and I must admit we were all pretty exhausted. But the owners were quite willing to bring in their pets all through the night."
The dogs were taught obedience skills and did agility training, while puppy and rehabilitation classes were also held.
Owners were asked for a minimum £10 donation for taking part.
Mrs Olley said: "We are hoping to have raised more than £2,500, which will let us sponsor our own dog to go through training."
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, which has a base at Cliffe, near Selby, teaches dogs to alert their deaf owners to noises such as telephones, door bells and smoke alarms.
