Tedstale, winner of last month's Thirsk Hunt Cup, can take the feature race at Beverley tomorrow.

Trained by the in-form Tim Easterby, who sent out two winners at Thirsk on Saturday, Tedstale bids for the £10,000 John Johnson 'Lifetime in Racing' Rated Handicap and is awarded the nap vote.

The race is named in honour of a man, who has spent his working life behind-the-scenes in racing. Johnson was stud groom for 40 years at Lord and Lady Halfax's Garrowby Stud and now runs his own small stud at Bishop Wilton, near York with his wife Tricia.

Tedstale gained a battling win over Sarraaf at Thirsk 17 days ago and left the impression that he can win again.

Robert Winston teams-up with him once more tomorrow in what promises to produce the second leg of a double for the four-year-old gelding.

Easterby and Winston can also collect with Timing in the Beaver Handicap.

The three-year-old has twice run creditably in defeat since scoring at Catterick and may be able to get back on the glory trail here.

The promising Bishr (2-45) is worthy of note, while Ketandi (4-30), also trained by Marcus Tregoning and ridden by Willie Supple, is likewise worthy of interest on her debut.

Armchair punters will be tuning into BBC2 for four live races from Goodwood, where all eyes will be on Dubai Destination in the Letheby & Christopher Predomiante Stakes, the latest Derby trial.

Winner of two of his three starts last term, 'Dubai' enjoyed his finest hour when impressively beating Rock Of Gibraltar - this season's 2,000 Guineas winner - in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster in September.

A hugely exciting horse, Dubai Destination will have the services of Jamie Spencer, standing-in for the suspended Frankie Dettori.

Fans of Tedstale, tomorrow's nap selection at Beverley, will be looking for a good run from Sarraaf in Goodwood's Newton Investments Management Handicap 50 minutes earlier.

Ian Semple's charge finished a close second to Tedstale in the Thirsk Hunt Cup after finding trouble in running. He should go well this time.

In the other two televised races, make a note of the highly-regarded Wild Fling (2-00) and the potentially smart Gallant Boy (4-15), running in his first handicap for Sir Michael Stoute and Kieren Fallon.
