HUGE Chinese Dragon Boats raced through York in what has become an annual treat for the city.
Teams of between six and ten people raced the 30ft boats from Scarborough Bridge to Lendal Bridge to raise cash for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust, which works to give children with leukaemia a chance of survival.
Kathryn Leverett, the charity's area appeals manager, said: "We are delighted to be able to run this event again.
"Everyone taking part has had such a great time and, needless to say, the funds are vital to support our cause."Money is used to find bone marrow matches for potentially life-saving transplants.
