Londesbrough Park took the chance to move closer to the two inactive pace-setters in division six by getting a big draw against Cawood, who are struggling to raise a competitive side.

However, they were denied a win by Miles Taylor, who produced a brilliant defensive innings as he guided a nine-man Cawood side, which contained only two other senior players, to a draw.

Ex-Pocklington player Darryn Gray had made 54 for Park, who had another half-centurion in Andy West (51).

Fifteen-year-old Tom Richardson added 35 then Richard Simpson (36no) and Jason Williamson (27no) piled on the agony for Cawood as they hoisted the total to 236-4.

However, Taylor controlled the reply to make an unbeaten 88 and Cawood came out with a good measure of honour at 125-4.

Des Healey returned to his old Boroughbridge Road stamping ground in Wilberfoss colours and made 45 against Civil Service. Neil Guyan added 42 but Lauren Cieslik took 4-34 to restrict 'Foss to a modest 129-7.

This proved an adequate total once Tony Peters claimed 5-17. Rich Lofthouse also bagged 3-22 and, despite 41 from Andy Robinson, Service suffered their third defeat in as many outings as they were bowled out for 104 to trail the division by 26 points.

Despite being rained off at Stillington, Stamford Bridge remain top to emulate their senior team, who top division two. Second-placed Hovingham also made no start at Heslington, nor did New Earswick at Thorp Arch.
