THE media keeps telling us if we have our children vaccinated singly for measles, mumps, rubella they will need six injections and therefore put them at risk.
I gather they do another MMR just before a child starts school to make sure they catch those missed at one year old.
My daughter, who appeared in an article in your paper, was one of the first mums in York to fight for single vaccines.
She eventually travelled to Surrey for single measles vaccine.
Her son, Ben, is a healthy little boy and, as far as we know, he is protected from measles for life.
I should like to know why we keep being told that six injections are necessary. They cause worry to mothers who now are very lucky because single vaccines can be done in York.
