Torrential rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of hundreds of golfers at Pike Hills Golf Club who have raised thousands of pounds for charity.
A total of 62 four-player teams took part in the annual event at the Tadcaster Road club, raising £6,800 for St Leonard's Hospice.
Unfortunately the 12-hour tournament at the beginning of August coincided with one of the wettest days of the year.
But participants saw plenty of golf action in between the rain, as well as a putting competition in the clubhouse and two raffle draws.
Vice-captain John Frame, who organised the day, said: "We are delighted with the amount raised as we know it is going to such a good cause."
St Leonard's Hospice fundraising manager Janet Morley said: "It was a fantastic effort on behalf of Pike Hills and everyone who took part.
"These events are so important to us, enabling us to give the best possible care for patients and their families."
