YORK has another sporting champion. Karen O'Brien is a member of the Kilroe Ladies Club, the Manchester United of the tug of war world.
She has worked long and hard for her success, really getting to grips with the sport in the last three months.
Now Karen wants to demonstrate her pulling power on a world stage, by taking part in the world tug of war championships in South Africa.
We hope she finds the sponsors to make her dream come true. Anyone who makes a donation can be sure of one thing: when Karen is competing, she always gives it her haul.
