IN the mood for dancing? Look no further than Daniel Bedingfield's self-written debut, Gotta Get Thru This.
Styles range from pop and R&B to hip hop and garage. Number one hit single Gotta Get Thru This was deservedly the mainstream dancefloor filler of the year. But be warned, that line will constantly repeat itself in your head for days. Bedingfield - who resembles a poor man's David Beckham - also has a stab at some end-of-the-night balladry on If You're Not The One.
Despite dodgy lyrics about him dreaming of you as his wife, the cheese-ometer just stays out of the red. The album works best when in pop mode. Check out He Don't Love You Like I Love You and I Can't Read You. Daniel's voice is part high-pitched Jacko squeal with a hint of the Ronan growl. A confident, competent debut.
