YORK RI went down to their heaviest defeat for some time at the hands of Bramley Phoenix as they crashed 56-10 in Yorkshire Three.
The game was evenly balanced at 12-10 on the 20 minutes mark, John Alexander scoring RI's try after Bramley had opened a 12- point lead. Then fly-half Matthew Yates was taken off with a facial injury and it proved to be RI's downfall.
Their rearranged back line proved no match for Bramley's pacy backs.
Down 32-10 at half time RI fought well but Bramley eventually ran out 56-10 winners.
