CHILDREN at a York school are celebrating after the completion of a new adventure trail.
The trail, at Our Lady's RC Primary School, in Acomb, includes ropes and bridges.
Funds were raised by the Friends of Our Lady's School, children, parents and parishioners at Our Lady's Church.
Rosie Wallace, from the Friends of Our Lady's School said: "The friends committee has organised a number of fundraising events over the years all have contributed towards our play ground.
"Thanks to the generous support of families, friends and parishioners of Our Ladies Church and staff we now have something that children can enjoy for years to come."
Deputy head Liz Coxon said the trail had proved popular with children who used it before school, at play time and after school.
She said: "The children could not wait for it to open and I don't think the novelty will ever wear off."
