SCHOOL crossing patroller Chris Horn has been named top of the lollipops.
Mrs Horn has guided Osbaldwick Primary School pupils across the road for more than 31 years.
Parents and children voted her their favourite in a competition run by York's Asda Supermarket to find the lollipop lady of the year. The store was running a campaign to promote road safety.
Mrs Horn said: "It's wonderful to be recognised in this way. It proves I'm doing the job well. "I love the kids at Osbaldwick. I get a lot out of it and will continue until I retire."
