YORK have been forced to change their winning formula for their trip to fellow table-toppers Dinnington tomorrow.

York, who have enjoyed a lightning start to the season, head the Yorkshire One table on points difference, with Dinnington and Bridlington hot on their heels having also won their opening games.

But the Clifton Parkers' strength in depth will be tested to its full, with director of rugby Andy Gair forced to shuffle his pack.

Centre pairing Sean Bass and Gary Cassidy, so effective against Huddersfield YMCA, are both unavailable so the versatile Stu Davies moves from the back row to take his place alongside new recruit Alex Drysdale, who is promoted from the second team having made an outstanding debut last Saturday.

Drysdale is an RAF centre from Scotland currently based at RAF Linton. Drysdale's partner in the centre last Saturday, Nick Kay, is also promoted and will start on the bench.

For the fourth consecutive Saturday there is a change at wing forward with Davies's place being taken by Jim Hawcutt and Herman Louw, who scored after coming off the bench against YMCA, retaining his place.

Grant Williams moves to the bench alongside Nick Hare, who makes way for the return of Dave Dorking.

Selby are hoping their trip to old foes Yarnbury will yield two much-needed points.

After an opening day win over Huddersfield YMCA, the Sandhill Laners have gone down to defeats against Wheatley Hills and Bridlington.

But with Horsforth-based outfit Yarnbury struggling to get their season up and running after four straight defeats in all competitions, Selby can add to their woes.

The experienced former England tourist Ray Adamson drops to the bench for the clash, with Dave Batty handed the full-back berth.

There is a change in the front row with Andy Pocklington and Paul Gabel coming into the prop positions, while Wright Phillips returns to the back row.

Malton and Norton will look to put the disappointment of their defeat by West Leeds behind them when they entertain Ripon.

The Gannock-based club were their own worst enemies as they were guilty of paying the Leeds side too much respect.

And now Malton will look to take the game to Ripon in a bid to bounce back.

"We worried too much about them and that hampered us," said coach Pat Stephenson.

"We know all about Ripon as they thumped us 50-16 last year, so they are a good side. But we will take the game out to them and let them worry about us rather than worry about what they can do."

Malton are forced into a number of changes, with the major worry being over the fitness of influential fly-half Chris Creber.

If the Australian is ruled out Neil Gilbertson will come into a rearranged back-line.

Tim Chapman is also unavailable, so Will Jones replaces him, while Tom Piercy joins Creber in the treatment room, with Tom Eddy set to start at prop.

Winless Pocklington will hope that consistency can help them turn their season around when they entertain Ilkley in Yorkshire Two.

Pock's bad run from last season has carried on into this year, with the Percy Roaders rooted to the bottom of the table. However, Ilkley have managed just one win after also enduring a torrid start to their campaign.

Despite slumping to a heavy 48-14 defeat against Leodiensians on Saturday, Pock will not be making wholesale changes to their line-up, with just minor adjustments expected.

And the Percy Roaders will be looking to the experience of Mark Taylor, currently in his 26th season at the club, to maintain his current points scoring form to lead them back up the table.

Former Harrogate fly-half Matthew Yates should be clear to play for York RI against Knottingley in Yorkshire Three.

The experienced number ten had to be carried off from the fray against Bramley after being caught by a stray elbow off the ball.

His enforced absence contributed to RI's defeat.

However, Yates should return to marshal the backs against the unbeaten league leaders. Paul Betts is also back in the squad after injury.

Harrogate travel to Nuneaton knowing victory will earn them a plum Powergen Cup third round home tie against London Welsh.

However, Ralph Zoing's men are without Euen Kenworthy, Graeme Sarjeant and Paul Clayton through long-term injuries, while Paul Gabriel could also miss out.

Former Scotland Under-19s prop Alistair Milne should keep his place in the side after making his debut against Bracknell.
