DRINGHOUSES thumped eight past a weakened Huntington side in Reserve A to stretch their lead at the top to seven points with goals from Jamie Backhouse (2), Mark Woodward (2), Gary Lonsborough, Dermot Reed, Grant McLean and an own goal.

Second placed Kartiers slipped up at home to Dunnington. After taking the lead through Russell Seagrave, Steve Lydiatt equalised for Dunnington whose Ben Small hit a second half winner - his 13th goal in ten games.

Pocklington arein third place after a 3-1 home win over Osbaldwick. Tim Fennell opened the scoring but Mark Crangle levelled for Osbaldwick. Fennell then scored his second but missed out on a hat-trick when he failed to convert a penalty. Ian Stabler netted the third to secure the points.

Adam Cook (2) and Louis Bootland (penalty) were South Bank's scorers in their 3-1 home win over St John's College and Les Grant and Paul Harrison scored the goals which gave New Earswick a 2-0 home win over Old Malton.

Wigginton Grasshoppers and Bishopthorpe served up a scrappy 0-0 draw.

Stamford Bridge had goals from Chris Allen, John Bryant and Chris Plowman to thank for a 3-1 Reserve B home win over Moor Lane, whose only reward was an Alan Colemen goal. Both teams were full of praise for referee Ian Robinson in his first game in the league.

Haxby & Wigginton took the lead against Barmby Moor when Jamie McConnell scored three minutes into the second half but five minutes later a Rob Bradley equaliser meant that the points were shared.

Wigginton Black Horse hit six past Riccall with Angus Clapham scoring a hat-trick to add to two from James Wood and one from Simon Fisher. Andrew Phillips managed a consolation penalty for Riccall.

Easingwold hit seven at Civil Service and the home side were only able to respond with strikes from John Hampton and Ian Pickard (2).

In Reserve C, Roger Lovelace gave Wheldrake the lead at Nestle Rowntree but the home side took the setback in their stride and were 3- 1 up by the interval with goals from Dave Wright Robert Blake and Will Nevianni. Blake increased the lead in the second half and Wright added a solo effort before Andy Smye pulled one back for Wheldrake to make the final score 5-3.

Heworth and LNER Builders shared eight goals with Kevin Ingleby (2), Tony Kiernan and Dan Huggins on the Heworth score sheet and Steve Crosby (2), John Chapman and Steve Smith netting for Builders.

Table toppers Thorpe settled for a 2-0 home win against Norton Utd with goals from Mick Tiplady and Matty White.

Hamilton Panthers were also given a close game by Fulford after going two up through Mark Moore. He completed his hat-trick in the second half and Chris Sparks netted a fourth but Chris Irwin and Rob Murphy (2) made a game of it for Fulford.

Andrew Jollands hit the only goal of the game to give White Horse victory over Stillington.
