Malton jockey Russ Garritty heads south to Cheltenham tomorrow and can make his presence felt at the home of National Hunt racing.

Garritty teams-up with Latensaani in the Barnett Waddingham Novices' Hurdle and I fancy him to take the honours on George Moore's in-form gelding.

Previously trained on the Flat in Newmarket by William Haggas, Latensaani has proved a useful recruit to Moore's Middleham yard and has won his last three races over hurdles.

His latest success, at Wetherby a fortnight ago, was gained in decisive fashion. Latensaani meets much tougher opposition tomorrow, but this bold-jumping four-year-old can make Garritty's journey well worthwhile.

Andy Streeter is aiming to bow out in style by winning the Jewson Handicap Hurdle Final with Red Sun.

Streeter, who trains in the Midlands, is handing in his licence this week to take up a post with the Jockey Club as an inspector of stables. Red Sun could be his last runner.

A good second to Dancer Polish at Uttoxeter last time, Lee Vickers' mount should run a big race.

Glinger gets my Nap vote in the Lloyds TS Asset Finance Novices' Handicap Chase. Trained by Nicky Richards, the nine-year-old has won his last two races.

Glinger, who had 13 lengths to spare at Carlisle on his latest outing, faces a tougher task here but is strongly fancied to complete a hat-trick of wins in the hands of Tony Dobbin.

On the Flat at Yarmouth, Cold Climate should go well in the John Slapp (Norwich) Bookmakers Handicap over seven furlongs.

Bob Jones' gelding finished a good third to Talbot Avenue in a competitive handicap at York a couple of weeks ago. Tomorrow's extra furlong should be in his favour.

Wednesday's tips:

1.05 Woodyates, 1.40 Pinchincha, 2.15 Harcourt, 2.50 Malapropism, 3.25 Steel Cat, 4.00 Cold Climate.
