TONY McKinstry's short, but excellent, report of Bryan Ferry's brilliant gig (October 26) failed to mention the awesome guitar play by Chris Spedding. Had it not been for Ferry being totally brilliant, Spedding would have stolen the show.

I hope we don't have to wait two years again to see either musician in York. The only down side to the concert was the lack of dance-floor space. What do concert organisers think when booking someone of Bryan Ferry's class - that people will just sit and tap their toes when listening to renditions of Tokyo Joe and Let's Stick Together?

We want to see and hear world class acts in York but we also want to dance along as well. So come on "Mr Organiser" at City of York Council, get into the modern world.

Had you been at the gig last Friday night you would have seen people of 18 to 70 dancing at the foot of the stage and in their seats!
